Synonymous with style & quality, Ichu specialise in everyday sterling silver jewels, reflecting the simplicity in understated luxury.

MEXICO:
The world’s biggest silver producing country is home to some of the finest silver reserves. Ichu’s jewellery is designed in Melbourne, Australia and lovingly handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico using the highest quality 925 sterling silver. Our designs are inspired by the likes of international trends, travel and a need for the unattainable.

STERLING SILVER:
An alloy of silver containing 92.5% silver and 7.5% of other metals, predominantly copper. Silver is a precious metal and, much like gold, is too fine to be utilized in its pure form. The sterling silver standard is 925 and thus Ichu only uses silver as it is one of the most beautiful and lustrous precious metals known to jewellery……. For this reason, all Ichu’s jewellery is lovingly stamped 925.

GOLD PLATING:
All gold plated Ichu jewellery has a base metal of solid sterling silver. Gold-plated jewellery is created using an electro-chemical process that places a layer of gold on top of the base metal. The thickness of the gold used throughout Ichu’s collection is 14k.

CRYSTAL:
Also known as ‘crystalline solid’ is a solid material whose constituent atoms, molecules or ions are arranged in an ordered manner extending in all three spatial dimensions. A crystal shares a visual and durable likeness to diamonds, yet is of a lower

CUBIC ZIRCONIA:
The cubic crystalline form of zirconium dioxide. The synthesized material is hard, optically flawless and usually colorless, but may be made in a variety of different colors. A cubic zirconia also shares a visual and durable likeness to diamonds, yet is again, of a lower cost.

OPAL:
The Opals used throughout Ichu’s designs are genuine, natural Australian opal. Ichu’s doublet opals have been personally sourced by Ichu and are mined and cut in either Whitecliffs, New South Wales or Coober Pedy, South Australia. Hand crafted in Mexico, the Ichu opal collection is constructed and set by first class craftsmen using the highest quality sterling silver.

DIAMOND:
Ethically sourced high-quality diamonds sustainability-rated laboratory grown unless otherwise mentioned. Laboratory grown diamonds are diamonds that possess the same carbon atoms as their naturally formed counterparts. They have essentially the same chemical, physical (including optical) properties and crystal structure as mined pieces, with the benefit of minimising unlawful practices and conflict zones.
