The opals used throughout Ichu’s designs are genuine natural Australian opal. Ichu’s doublet opals have been personally sourced by ICHU and are mined and cut in either Whitecliffs, New South Wales or Coober Pedy, South Australia.
Opal-mining is one of the world’s most harrowing pursuits, but according to one third of Ichu’s directors it’s one of the most rewarding as well.
